Simply unbearable I must say.it sounds like a bad acid trip that seems to last forever. -
Edited 5 years agoThe seminal track Bostich is a real underground anthem for almost four decades (1980-2020). It has been many times remixed by famous but underground producers like Joey Beltram, Kevin Saunderson (aka Reese) Felix Da Housecat and more recently DJ Hell.
Also it contains a lot of samples taken by artists like Carl Craig (aka Paperclip People) and Todd Terry (Black Riot). The vocal sampling of “Everbody Be Somebody” (by Ruffneck & Yavahn) should also ring a bell by the disco dancers from 1995.
So, what brings this new late 2019 remix version by Ancient Methods for new perspective? Well a lot! This version is more techno combined with moroder synth pop in almost a trancy epic style due to the use (methods) of (ancient) heavenly church choirs and bells. The result, and most of the all the Hommage Aux Machines is an uber cool club stormer for the darkest hours and it stays in line with history: underground!
