One of the greatest dance tracks of all time. Released at the tail end of the disco era, it was a massive club hit. In the UK it got loads of radio airplay but unfortunately missed a Top 40 placing. Phyllis was a terrific vocalist with a very erratic personal life. She struggled with severe depression eventually taking her own life. She never achieved the commercial success she deserved, signed with Arista she was overlooked in favour of Aretha and then Whitney Houston who became the labels top female artist and main priority.
