I'll throw my 10 pence worth in looking back now in retrospect (21 years old now? WHERE THE F&%K DID THAT GO!!!)
Both Carl's mix and Pepe's 'Get Down Dub' are brilliant. Carl's mix gets the hype as its a very functional club beast; and because it's to this day one of his best since the Millennium. His C2 moniker has not bared much fruit to my ears at least, but that's due to my generation & the goodies delivered unto the 1990's, bloody spoilt rotten we were!
Here remixing as Carl Craig, & most definitely keeping up appearances. -

One of C2's greatest remixes, and we all know that's saying a lot! -

I honestly find it quite disrespectful that no mention is made on the release that the vocals are by Cesaria Evora. This is quite a glitch in my opinion ! -

Must have been a re-press as it's now cheap as chips - get yourself a copy, it's slow but it's good -

Everything here is available on the compilation with some other cool remixes (not to mention more adequately priced):

Stunner of a record, keeps on building and goes into the C2 usualness and heads to a Detroit journey of optimum madness. Bloody great played on a good system too. -

sleeves come in two flavors, one with a sort of reflective transparent pattern, one without. same cat #. -

This is all about the Carl Craig Remix...I know shocking, right?...The handclaps in this track and the creeping acid line with Cesaria's haunting vocals make this a track worth hunting down. Works well with house, nu-disco, minimal...just about anything. Carl never ceases to amaze me as this remix slowly ramps up over a full 8 minutes to a full on monster. Great opener, closer, or anything in between.
