great sounding record and superb release. This is a must have for any MGS headz out there, even if you don't have a turntable! But it's better if you have one.

Edited one year agoThis is still $35 at Mondoshop.com
The people flipping it for $100 should be lined up against the wall
> 22 copies from $60+
Delusional vultures, I hate this hobby. Flippers eagerly jostling in the queue to gouge the next two dozen unsuspecting buyers. -
Edited 2 years agoA really stellar release. Sounds super dynamic, minimal surface noise. What a soundtrack.

The product: Simply beautiful vinyl! The color combo and execution is perfect. The artwork suffers like other Mondo releases - it is not original to the source product. But still nice to look at. Dead quiet and dynamic for older game music.
The material: Very nostalgic. If you grew up with this game, you will immediately be transported back in time. -
Edited 4 years agoThe swirl effect looks great on my first disc. Second disc almost looks like plain black vinyl, with some green. Sounds great though. As for the artwork, Mondo is kinda missing on using official art, especially this one which could benefit from having artwork by Yoji Shinkawa.
The credits on the insert is filled with typos, especially on The Best Is Yet To Come credits, it feels like they were in a hurry and skipped text reviewing before immediately printing it. -
Amazing quality and work put into this release. The Easter eggs at the beginning and end of this pressing show the love put into it. How did Mondo not put "Game Over" theme at the end of theirs?

I'm curious if anyone got the Moonshake Records version of MGS Soundtrack and this one, what is your opinion on this one ?
Moonshake's version is obviously top notch, Mondo always has been so-so overall when it comes to vinyl pressings but I might consider buying the Solid Snake's version when it will come out just to have the official pressing too... Thanks.
