Deerhoof – Offend Maggie

My copy is awful. Pressed off center, whooshing sounds throughout. You can even see the thickness change as it spins. Sound quality seems OK. Being a noise band, it doesn't distract too too much but what's the point of a special limited release if it's crap quality?

Got this version as a replacement of the purple disc - which was off centre, edge warped and whooshing nonsense.
This plays beautifully (it did take a few wet cleans to get the very occasional surface noise to go away).
Love this collection of tunes and although I got used to the CD track sequence, this one makes the journey through the record really bright and works really well towards the inner grooves.
If you can get it, I'd say this is the one to own!!!

Offend Maggie, revere Yoko. Not sure who Maggie is but Yoko should be pleased, I think. Mixed recording, at times thin and cluttered but oft excellent.

I love this album but I just got a copy of this purple pressing, and it came warped with a pretty massive bowl shape (even my stabilizer wouldn’t flatten it down). It still played on a very forgiving table, but I’m not sure if this is common for the release?

The track order has been completely shuffled from the original vinyl release, which already had a different track order than CD/digital.

I find the mastering a bit too trebly. Pressing itself is nice and quiet. Album art and insert look identical to the original release, other than label information.
