audio trip is some of the best italo deep ("dream") house i've ever heard... perfect blend of ps1 & 909

Edited 3 years agoThis 'Club Culture Rarities' repress of Dreamatic (or the copy I received at least) was duff.
The intro to 'Audio Trip' is noisey / clicky - especially noticeable as the intro is ambient.
A poor source for the master!? : /
Also, when playing, my decks tone arm's swings back n forth & this is also audible – a wow n flutter noise throughout every rotation. I tested the viny on both decks & it plays the same on both, so it's not my tonearms, it's the poor pressing (like its cut off centre!)
Sadly can't recommend this repress. -
I'm pretty certain I'd heard this as early as 1990 somewhere. Either that or this record samples something released earlier or is inspired by it. A2 and AA are my picks. This is the kind of mellower, (less garagey), type of deep house I tend to enjoy. Soothing and slightly fuzzy, a bit like how I might feel at that moment in time, and very versatile within sets. Audio Trip really suited for a 1990 after hours back at mine coming down from the previous seven or eight hours (or more) of mayhem night in my opinion. Ease on by.

Edited 14 years agoHead straight for Audio Trip on the AA side here for a truly blissful and simple journey of luscious strings and crisp 909. A real treat and an early originator of undoubtably euphoric and dreamy tech house. 10/10.
