Canadian label launched in 1976 by J.A.M.F. Plates were sent to where the pressing was done by TELDEC. Finished product was shipped back to Canada where it was then distributed / exported by Nimbus. In 1978 Umbrella switched to pressing at CBS' Don Mills plant and in 1979 they transitioned away from direct-to-disk in favour of digital recording.

Product was imported by local importers as follows:

UK, EEC & Middle East: d.b.h. Cassettes Ltd. then Quadramail
Malaysia & Singapore: United Bearings
U.S.A.: Audio-Technica U.S., Inc.

Import stickers do not change the country. All Umbrella releases are Canada and were only available outside of Canada by import unless a regional distributor is printed directly on the release.
