Well, I think this is only one of those rare moments when I do agree that Unofficial releases should be blocked from sale!

This is the worst rip off merchants ever!

And yes I am referring to the Electro series.

I won't go into too many details. But all I will say is that these people obviously did not care a toss about the original Streetsounds label and what an amazing series it was.

Most of the CDs have been either been ripped from vinyl. Yes they didn't even clean up the pops and crackles! Or it has been ripped from tape cassette. Yes, certain tracks have that sound where it's obvious that either the tape machine was knackered or the tapes were in not to good a state as the tracks have that slightly wavy sound of speeding up and slowing down.

Also on Electro 8 these pr*cks even manage to chop off the first few beats on the ultimate Hip Hop track in the day Marley Marl featuring MC Shan- Marley Marl Scratch! (Its abit like when the reissue came out and the spelt MC Shan as DJ Shan!!!)...

What an ultimate shame as this could have been so much better! They didn't even record the two Crucial albums which in my opinion not only had the best tracklists, the mixes were top notch.

I'm already writing too much now arrrghhhh!

So if Morgan Khan is reading this (I doubt it) please reissue the full series on cd.

Can anyone enlighten me as to how you tell the difference between these rip offs and the legendary original releases? Don't think I've ever come across one, and from the pic's on here the covers look identical, although they're not clear enough to read the small type.
Are there differences to the labels? catalogue numbers? or etchings?
      And how's the sound quality?
